Study Permit Application
You will need a study permit to study in Canada for programs longer than 6 months. It is not a visa and you will still need visit visa or ETA to travel to Canada.
Eligibility Requirements
You are enrolled in Designated learning institution; Prove that you have sufficient funds for study, travel and stay in Canada; Have no medical or criminal concern and Prove that you will leave Canada when you study permit expires.
Applying under Study Direct Stream
You can apply under study direct stream if you are legal resident of any 1 country listed below Antigua and Barbuda Brazil, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, India, Morocco, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Senegal, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Trinidad and Tobago Vietnam. Also, you are living outside of Canada when you apply.
IELTS
Have minimum 6 band in each of language skill in academic or general IELTS test.
Proof of Funds
Have tuition fees paid for one year of study and have purchased a GIC of $10,000 from a Canadian bank.
Medical & Police Clearance
Have undergone medical and police clearance as applicable to country specific requirement.
Letter Of Acceptance
Have letter of acceptance from Designated learning institution and previous study transcripts.
