About Masters Graduate Stream:
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) offers the Masters Graduate Stream, providing international graduates with a master's degree from an eligible Ontario university the opportunity to apply for permanent residence without requiring a job offer.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Masters Graduate Stream, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Education
Completed a master's degree from an eligible Ontario university, involving at least one academic year of full-time study (minimum 15 hours of instruction per week). Part-time studies may qualify if the program is equivalent to at least one full-time academic year
Language Proficiency:
Achieved a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 in English or French, demonstrated through an approved language test taken within two years prior to application submission.
Residency in Ontario
Legally resided in Ontario for at least one year in the two years preceding the application.
Settlement Funds
Demonstrated sufficient funds to support yourself and any dependents, which can be shown through bank statements, annual earnings from ongoing employment in Ontario, or a job offer in Ontario
Intent to Reside
Demonstrated sufficient funds to support yourself and any dependents, which can be shown through bank statements, annual earnings from ongoing employment in Ontario, or a job offer in Ontario
Application Timing
Submitted the application within two years of completing the requirements necessary to obtain the master's degree
About PhD Graduate Stream:
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) offers the PhD Graduate Stream, providing international graduates who have earned a PhD degree from an eligible Ontario university the opportunity to apply for permanent residence without requiring a job offer.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the PhD Graduate Stream, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Education
Completed all requirements necessary to obtain a PhD degree from an eligible Ontario university. At least two years of PhD studies must have been completed while legally living and studying in Ontario
Residency in Ontario
Legally resided in Ontario for at least one year in the two years preceding the application
Settlement Funds
Demonstrated sufficient funds to support yourself and any dependents. This can be shown through bank statements, annual earnings from ongoing employment in Ontario, or a job offer in Ontario
Intent to Reside
Expressed intention to live and work in Ontario
Application Timing
Submitted the application within two years of completing the requirements necessary to obtain the PhD degree
